ANYBODYS computer running slow? virus?

i am not saying mypersianbuddies caused it, but everytime i look at a picture here i get this weird message, then like 20 pop ups, what the fuck ???
my computer is slow ass fuck now. does anyone have this problem?? |

. ok now that i got that out of my system. its probably spyware eating up your memory
get a GOOD antivirus that doesnt eat at your memory. fuck norton and mcafee. Avast is a good FREE one . search google for the website
. umm also get spybot search and destroy(spyware scanner).. you can get that from download.com just use the search box there :). turn on ur computer and tap f8 while its booting (BUT make sure you do this before the windows loading screen). until it asks you how you want to boot. boot in safe mode. Run both the anti virus and spybot andd hopefully it will clean everything.

I have to admit that I use Firefox and I got the same deal happening to mine. I had to remove several cookies from my browser before it would work correctly again. It's not MyPersianBuddies, it's a flaw with Firefox as far as I know.

well, bro the only thing u can do is bring your computer to bestbuy, this is actually what my cousin does all the time. Ok, so go to the Geek Squad in bestbuy, i think it would be worth it to pay a lil money to get ur computer fixed.....i mean if its more than a couple hundred bucks to fix it......i prefer u to get a nice laptop....probably between 500-600 bucks ;-)
sooo, since my cousin is working for a big oil company here in DC.....she is constantly buying laptops for her business, and the worst thing that could happen is for ur computer or laptop to die! ( i mean literally ) so my best advice to u bro is to go fix it or get a new laptop!! ps: laptops give u more privacy so u can go watch ur porn :p hahah im just kidding with u bro......just go ahead and try the advice!!! trust me...u will be happy |

Buying a new computer is stupid advice, by the way. If I bought a new computer every time my computer acted slow I'd have to live in a cardboard box.
The free anti-virus softwares, the anti-spyware softwares, and booting in safe mode is the best advice. Also, consider turning your firewall on if you have it off. |

well quite honestly IF its a virus or spyware problem do what i said(honestly i dont think it is, i think its a browser problem). dont take it to geeksquad. all they do is pop in a super secret disk called MRI, and all it is a bunch of programs that look for viruses spyware and registry fixers.. anybody can get these programs free if they ask me for a download link. lol and they charge you up the fucking ass.. So fuck them!
honestly if you do everything you can do and its a pesky virus like virtumonde, you might want to reformat(wipe everything on the hardrive, remember this is a last resort). if you havnt reformated and its been a while since u bought the computer then it will probably improve the speed of your computer and you start off new. Remember to backup all your files and drivers. lol =-) Again if you need help, message me. Of course if you have a peice of shit computer and you want to throw it away hit me up :-D i always like spare parts! |

@ Aristotle - I don't recall most of my replies on these forums being negative. I'm pretty sure most of the time I try to offer good advice. In this case I said your idea was stupid, maybe harsh, but I still think buying a new computer just because your internet runs a little slow without trying anti-virus/anti-spyware/reformatting is a little drastic.

Everyone should relax. Usually you can find a way to clean up a computer virus or problem instead of just buying a new one. Shahin is right in that respect. But we do appreciate that you suggest some ideas of what you can do. And besides who doesn't enjoy a new computer???
