All of us at some point are in deep need of spiritsand religion on the side is the best source for them. But some Lost the faith in religion maybe even god when they came up to a point that what has been said in the holy books and what we accepted for 1000s of years is a lie or a "Fairytale", or another word a fiction story.

To my beliefs There is a god, and what we have today in our world are gifts from that creator.

But what concerns me is how they made fool of so many human beings.

From one religion words got copied to another. Each people added their words and said those are the messages of god. such brutal minds with brutal beliefs washed so many of our brains to make us think that they have brought the words of god.

to me a prophet or messenger is a hero who has sent a message through out the world by peace and knowledge.

Ghandi, martin luther king,al gore, all those warriors who lost their lives to keep the rest of people alive and safe, to warriors who fought for their pride, Cyrus the great, My mother and father, these are the people who have proven to me the existance of god, they deserve to be called a messenger of god or the true prophets.

I myself am confused. I want to believe their is a God that created the world, but then again, I am just trying to make an explanation for the reason we all exist. And I don't see how anybody can say "There is no God" or "There is a God" because they are statements that nobody knows for sure.  You can agree with one side much more than the other, but there is no way to know for sure.  I just don't see how Atheists and very religious people feel that they are so right and know so much when neither side really knows the actual TRUTH behind what they believe or preach.

personally i think that people believe in God for the same reason they believe in superstitions. knocking on wood wont do shit but i do it anyway. and my mom gave me an evil eye necklace but its not like that piece of colored glass will protect me from anything. People believe in God because they need some way to think that they're in control of what happens. To think that if i just pray to God then everything will get better. and that bad things happen to bad people because God will punish them.

This is one of those subjects if you think too hard about, it can make you crazy.  Basically, the whole world is a paradox.  Who created us?  Big bang theory?  Then who created the ball of mass? God?  Then who created God?  The universe's own existence does not make sense, nor does ours, lol.

Julio, don't be nieve; Gore and Clinton's policies have killed many more innocent people than they have saved. Many many more. Just because he recently has taken a progressive stance towards the environment doesn't mean he's on the same level as Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr.

well look how much human being has advanced, from dark ages which when storms lighting happened people belived it was god's anger, they would kill doctors which were trying to cure sick people, accusing them of havin connection with devil, and yes universe is a to big to understand for us NOW, but devils willing in future about couple of 1000 years human will find the answer for all the unexplain stuff..
