We are now officially taking applications for users to become moderators.  If you would like to be considered for one of the positions please do the following:

1. Send an email to webteam@mypersianbuddies.com with the subject line : I WANT TO BE A MODERATOR
2. In the email give us 3 reasons you think you would be a good moderator.

We will be deciding on moderators very soon and we hope this will help to control the forums more effectively.

does this mean if someone becomes a moderator they can delete the forums that they hate??

It means mods are going to ban members, members are going to make fake accounts, and the forums are ruined.

No single moderator will be able to remove posts by themselves.  We are going to introduce moderation but it's going to be more group moderated.  We are also going to start more flaming threads and moving topics to their appropriate forums. 

Our moderators will not work the same was as DCPersian.  We are coming up with better ways of handling it.  We are not talking about banning users here, we're cleaning up forums.  There are rules for when a user is banned like: spamming user accounts, creating lots of fake accounts, posting obscene photos, etc.  Nowhere have we said that moderators will be banning user accounts.

i asked because i totaly agree with rod its all gonna depend on peoples mood if the moderator hates me they are gona delete my forum and i dont think thats a good idea alot of people in this site dont get along soo in my own opinion i dont think its good vali who am i to sy that admin can do whatever they wish to do

You guys are obviously had bad experiences with moderators in the past.  You have noticed that we aren't really very active in removing posts and locking threads.  We respect your ideas and thoughts but we want to start cracking down on things that make others leave the site or have bad experiences.  Whether you agree with that or not is not the case.  We invest lots of time and money into the site and we will protect that.  Our goal is not to upset people or boot unpopular users.  This is not an elite club.  We just ask for respect.

but usualy moderators have rules too so they wont be able to do as they please
